Michael Lynn Lavender

Michael L. Lavender, 72, passed away on Friday, June 2, 2023, in North Richland Hills. Graveside Service: 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 7, 2023 in New Hope Cemetery. Mike was born March 1, 1951, in Bryan, Texas to Bob and Emma Lee Lavender. Mike loved traveling, laughing until he cried, Mark Twain, board games, learning about all kinds of history, voraciously reading, elaborate pranks, and his family. He did not enjoy hot weather, reality television, neckties, or fools. Mike was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Ellen; his sister, Betsy Mulder; and brother, Craig Lavender; his daughters, Micah Lavender and Melissa Lotspeich; and his bonus children, John Harris and Jana Scallan. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Rylan Richardson and Barnie Woodard, Jack, Max, Charlie, Maggie, and Ginny Lotspeich, Arran and Evan Harris, Matthew Newkirk; and great-granddaughter, Emma, Hannah Sain; and great-grandsons, Amari, and Ethan Blackmon.
