Michael Kinman “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith” – 2 Timothy 4:7 On February 21, 2022, Michael Ray Kinman finished his final race and entered into his heavenly home, while surrounded by his family and friends. Michael was born to Bob and Judy Kinman on July 30, 1959. He was a member of the 1977 graduating class of Millsap High School. He was proud to be a Millsap Bulldog and continued to be a loyal Bulldog Fan. Michael met and married his sweetheart, Ronda Clary in 1981. They were blessed to have two amazing children, Josh and Jacey, son-in-love, J. D. and daughter-in-love, Casey, and three precious grandchildren. Michael had a love and dream for the City of Millsap. He was proud to serve the city as Mayor Pro tem for many years, and being a member of the Heritage Society. Michael loved making the city look beautiful. You could always find him mowing or doing something to make the city a better place. Michael was an incredibly hard worker who was very proud of his 41 years in the oil patch. Throughout his career he made many lifelong friends and memories that he truly loved and cherished. Not only was Michael dedicated to his career, but he was also very dedicated to his work for the Lord. Michael was proud to serve as a deacon to Soda Springs Baptist Church. He loved his church family dearly. When Michael was not working or serving others, he enjoyed being with his children and grandbabies. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle, running, running 5 K’s, and eating breakfast on Saturday mornings with friends. Michael was blessed with a large and loving family. He is survived by his sweet wife of 40 years, Ronda Kinman; their children, Joshua and Casey Kinman, Jacey and J. D. Lewis, Kelsey Funderburg; their three precious grandbabies, Sullivan Mac, Sawyer Jane, and Campbell Claire Kinman; bonus sons, Franco Ortiz and Stan Walker; sister, Lynette Wolf; brothers, Jimmy and Cheryl Kinman, Timmy Kinman, and Johnny Benavides; sister-in-love and husband, Donna and Jeff Edwards. Michael was blessed to have many nieces and nephews whom he loved and cherished. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Judy Kinman; his parents-in-love, Jimmy and Carla Clary; his grandparents, Luke and Thelma Reasoner, and John and Una Dooley; along with several aunts and uncles. Michael will be missed by all. Michael’s Celebration of Life will be: Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at Soda Springs Baptist Church. Celebration of Life: 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 3, 2022 at Millsap Baptist Church. Burial: Fairview Cemetery.
