Melba Cleola Whitworth

Melba Cleola Sparks Whitworth, 92, beloved sister, aunt and friend passed away Sunday, December 31, 2017 at a local care facility. Graveside Service:  2 p.m. Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Memory Gardens of the Valley Memorial Park, 5600 Mineral Wells Hwy., Weatherford, 76088. Melba was born on the family farm in Millsap on October 12, 1925, daughter of Leslie and Bessie Jones Sparks.  She graduated from Millsap High School and also received a Bachelor's Degree in Education from North Texas Teacher's College.  Melba was a Secretary for a business forms company in Denton until she retired and returned to the family farm in Millsap.  She will be deeply missed by all of her loved ones. Melba was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Harvey. Survivors:  Sister, Hotona McDonald Rister; nephew, James McDonald, Jr.; and numerous  great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.
