Mayrene Wynn Darnell

Mayrene Wynn Darnell, 93, beloved mother, grandmother and friend, passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2018. 

Funeral Service:  10 a.m. Monday in White’s Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford  76086

 Interment:  2:30 p.m. in Rafter 5 Wilson Family Cemetery, Brownwood. 

Visitation:  6 – 8 p.m. Sunday at White’s Funeral Home. 

Mayrene was born April 2, 1925 in Collingsworth County, Texas.  She was the daughter of Marvin Robert and Vey Pauline Harris Wynn.  Mayrene married the love of her life, Wayne Darnell on January 31, 1941 and they spent 75 wonderful years together raising their family.

 She was preceded in death by her husband of 75 years, 17 days, Wayne; her parents; one sister; one brother; and one great-grandson, Eathan Young Box. 

Survivors:  Children, Richard Darnell and wife, Linda, of Levelland, Linda Moore and husband, Charles, of Weatherford, Melvin Darnell and wife, Cindy, of Amarillo, and Karen Redding and husband, Ron, of Fort Worth; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and many other loving family members and friends.
