Mary Margaret McQueen, 81, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2026, in Weatherford.

Mary was born in Van Nuys in Southern California on January 15, 1945. She attended Catholic school with her brother, Nick. Two of Mary’s aunts were Nuns.

In her teens she married and had a baby boy who died in infancy. She also, due to certain circumstances, gave up another baby boy to adoption. Over fifty years later Mary reunited with that son, Dean, his wife, Dev and grandchildren and even great grandchildren. This reunion was brought about by her grandson, Jason. Dean and his wife came to Idaho and gave Mary one of the happiest days of her life.

Mary’s second husband was Charles Licurse. They had four children, Gregory, Angela, Christopher and Steven. Chuck and Mary were together over two decades.

In 1999 she married Patrick McQueen. She was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and a year later they were sealed together for time and eternity at the Boise, Idaho Temple. At the same time her son, Gregory, acted as proxy for the child Mary had lost, that baby was sealed to Mary and Patrick. One of the finest moments in Mary’s Life.

After living in Idaho for 18 years Mary began to have health issues. Her daughter, Angela, suggested we move to Texas where family could assist her. We chose Azle where Mary had some of the most wonderful times ever.

On June 14th at the age of 81 Mary temporarily left us. Patrick and Angela were with her when she passed.

Those who knew her say she was a good person and a faithful friend. Her children say she was a loving mother who always tried to do her best. Her husband says she was the most spiritual person he has ever known and has given him the most happiness he will ever know until we meet again. She was a good and faithful servant, and she did endure the end of this part of her eternal journey well

We will all miss her until that day when we meet again
