Mary "Marcy" Marcella Brooks

Mary Marcella “Marcy” (Board) Brooks, 93, passed away Friday, May 13, 2022 in Weatherford.

 Celebration of Life: 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at Clear Fork Baptist Church, 100 Ragle Rd., Weatherford, TX. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Marcy’s name to Center of Hope or Meals on Wheels. 

Marcy was born October 25, 1928 in Lincoln, IL, daughter of Hurbert and Blanche (Miller) Board. Marcy married the love of her life, Rollie Clifton Brooks, on April 27, 1946, and they would go on to spend 76 happy years together raising their family. Marcy was a member of Clear Fork Baptist Church and Parker County Women’s and Newcomers Club. She was an avid painter who loved to travel. 

She and Rollie went on 27 cruises together over the years. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Thomas Brooks; son-in-law, Richard Adams; two brothers and three sisters.

 She is survived by her loving husband, Rollie Brooks; son, Doug Brooks (Linda); daughter, Betsy Warren (John); daughter, Susan Adams (Billy Weckel); son, Captain John Brooks; daughter-in-law, Nadiya Brooks; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of other extended family members and friends. 

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Beyond Faith Hospice for their compassionate care of Marcy through her final days.
