Jeannie was born to Robert and Irene Boynton on February 21, 1950, in Fort Worth, Texas. She grew up in Azle, Texas, and as the oldest child was fiercely protective of her younger sisters, while also imparting wisdom, and having fun. There were moments as simple as listening to records and dancing, while cleaning the house, to teaching make-up tricks to them, and going to the Dairy Queen for dipped cones!

Jeannie started work as a teen, at Buddies Grocery Store in Azle. She attended Azle High School, where she graduated in 1969. Later, while working at Quickway on Meadowbrook Dr. in Fort Worth, she showed great hospitality that made her many friends in the surrounding neighborhood. She went on to embrace her caregiver nature, by working as a floor clerk on oncology units for 25 years in both Irving, Texas, and at JPS in Ft. Worth, Texas.

Jeannie was a wonderful cook, so much so, that her family, her sisters in particular, always waited with baited breath for divinity and peanut brittle, at Christmas, but the most coveted candy, was her Martha Washington candy. Her daddy however, would request chocolate chess pie, which he tried to keep all to himself!

Reading was a cherished pastime. She developed her love of books and reading, from her mother and her Grandma Cannon. Even when Jeannie lost her eyesight, she actively listened to audio books to fulfill her love of literature. Her favorite author, was John Grisham.

After Jeannie's daddy passed, her sister Sondra, sent her one of his Bibles. She loved reading it and this is her favorite Bible verse: “He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.” Psalm 91:4

Jeannie was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Irene Boynton, her loving husband, Floyd Harmon, Sr., and her eldest son, Luke Mason.

She is survived by Annette and Michael Cihak of Azle, Wesley and Angel Mason of Azle, Melanie Mason of Springtown, and Floyd Harmon Jr., and William Harmon of Agnes. Jeannie is survived by her sisters, Tricia Ballew and Jack Taylor of Granbury, and Sondra and Robert Hoffman, of Burleson. She is also survived by many and much loved, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Jeannie had tremendous love for her family and for her husband Floyd. She is now with Floyd in heaven, and with our Lord.
