Martin Joseph Dick, 62, passed away Saturday, September 11, 2021 at his home in Springtown. Service: 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at White's Springtown Chapel. Visitation: 6 to 8 P.M. Monday, September 20, 2021 at White's Funeral Home, Springtown. Interment: Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at Ash Creek Cemetery, Azle. Martin was born July 25, 1959 in San Diego, California, to Ronald Dick and Karen Goebel. He graduated from Millington Central High School in TN in 1977. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in college, was in ROTC and worked for BNSF Railway since 1992. Martin married Ellen Chetelat, his lovely wife of 30 years, whom he met after he whistled at her and she didn’t acknowledge him. He soon learned she was hearing impaired and it motivated him to learn sign language. As a single man, he was willing to do anything to make her his, take all 3 kids under his wing and have 3 more and that shows what kind of man he really was. He loved all his children and grandbabies and was always happy to see them anytime. He also enjoyed coaching sports, poker, golf, Star Trek, NCIS, country music and classic rock, classic westerns, especially John Wayne., riding his Harley Davidson and arm wrestling. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Heather, whom he called “my little pumpkin”. Survivors: His wife, Ellen Chetelat Dick; Children, Jack and wife, Crystal, Kitty and husband Bradley Jenkins, Randy Dick, Martin Dick, Jr. and William Dick.; Brother, Carl and wife Carolyn and children Trease, Troy, Carl, Jr.; sister, Rosie and her children, Brandon and Lucas and five grandchildren, Charlee, Aubree, Haleigh, Amri, and Nicholas. He was loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
