Marsha Ann Chandler, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at the age of 76 in Weatherford, Texas. She was born on March 16, 1950, in Waco, Texas, to Andrew and Dorothy (Davis) Prim.
Marsha graduated from the University of North Texas and dedicated 31 years to a fulfilling career in education. The majority of those years were spent shaping young minds as a beloved kindergarten teacher in Springtown, Texas. Her impact and dedication were officially recognized when she was selected as Teacher of the Year prior to her retirement in 2003. Beyond her own two wonderful children, Marsha touched the lives of countless students who passed through her classroom. She was deeply passionate about her family and friends, and she will always be remembered for the caring, charismatic personality that made her both the perfect kindergarten teacher and an extraordinary mother.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 53 years, Terry Chandler; her children, Jeff Chandler and wife Nhung, and Lindsay Spooner and husband Koby; her grandchildren, Kade Spooner and wife Avery, Jake Spooner, Tristen Spooner, Brenna Spooner, Dane Spooner, and Blakely Spooner; her great-grandchild, Scottie Spooner; and her siblings, Peggy Kilgo and husband Dub, and Patty Hart and husband Claire. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Dorothy Prim, and her brother, Mike Prim.
Service Details:
Visitation: Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at 1:00 PM at First Baptist Church, Springtown (500 N. Main St, Springtown, TX).
Funeral Service: Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church, Springtown.
Interment: Following the service, Marsha will be laid to rest at Cottondale Cemetery (373 County Road 3571, Paradise, TX).
