Margie Couch Rutledge Cole

Margie Couch Rutledge Cole was born August 12, 1922 in Azle, Texas, and died Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at her home. 

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, September 13, 2022 in White’s Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford, with visitation from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service. 

Burial will follow at Ash Creek Cemetery in Azle. 

Margie graduated from Azle High School and was quite possibly the last survivor of her class. She enjoyed various interests including painting, gardening, traveling with friends, flower arranging, and numerous activities at her church and local Senior Centers. 

She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, George Rutledge, in 1987, and husband of 21 years, Wayne Cole, in 2018. 

Margie is survived by her three children, Nancy Rutledge Webster, Allen Rutledge and wife, Mary, and Steve Rutledge and wife, Esther; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; and the Cole children, Richard, Anita, and Ervin, and their families.
