RICHMOND - Margie Lee Elliott departed this Earth to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at the age of 82. She passed in the comfort of her own home while in the company of her devoted and loving son, Darryl Lee Elliott. Visitation: 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, June 4, 2021 at White's Funeral Home Weatherford. Graveside: 1 p.m. Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Greenwood Community Cemetery in Parker County. Born on November 21, 1938 in Fort Worth, Texas, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Wayne Elliott, parents, Marion Baylor Carroll and Cecil Bernice Carroll, as well as her siblings, Myrna Gail Chenault, Ronald Carroll, Danice Mainard, and James Carroll. Margie is survived by her son, Darryl, as well as her sister, Barbara Smethers and husband Kenneth Smethers, along with her grandchildren and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. She will be always loved and cherished by her grandchildren; Brandon Elliott and wife Angela, Amanda Elliott and fiancee Joey, Kristin Elliott Gann and husband Garrett, as well as her great granddaughter, Grace Ann. She will also be forever loved and remembered by her special niece, Linda Kennedy and husband Patrick, as well as her honorary grandchildren, Justin Haley and wife Rebecca, son Bryce, along with Brandi Teague and husband Justin, with children Brylee and Jackson. She will always be known to all her grandchildren as "Ma Ma". Margie Elliott acquired her GED from Weatherford High School and later worked as a real estate agent for Century 21. After working for Troy State University, she became secretary to the Dean at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. In keeping with her strong dedication and faith in the Lord, she also did volunteer work with the Billy Graham Crusades. Echoing her own elegance and grace, Margie was also an accomplished ballroom dance instructor with Fred Astaire Dance Studios. Later in life, she passionately assisted her husband, Robert, in establishing and maintaining four Subway franchises in Georgetown, Round Rock and Taylor, TX. By his side, they attended and were actively involved members of Church on the Rock in Georgetown, TX. There they managed the recording and distribution of all sermons and services. Margie will forever be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend.
