Margaret Diane Wright went to be with the lord on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at the age of 74. She was a true fighter and the toughest one of the Rush family and was fighting to the end. Visitation will be held 6 to 8 P.M. Monday, November 7, 2022 , at White’s Chapel in Azle. Funeral Service 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at First United Methodist Church of Azle. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the children’s church fund at First United Methodist Church. She was born in Waco, Texas on August 7, 1948. She was preceded in death by her parents, Asbury William Rush Jr and Donna Lou Bell and sister, Linda Rush. She married Jim Wright on September 10, 1988 and recently celebrated 34 years of marriage. After graduating from the University of Texas, Arlington, Diane spent 25 years with General Dynamics, Data System Division and moved to Computer Science Corporation when DSD was acquired. Working as a financial consultant and lead on transition teams, she helped set up accounts in the finance area of acquired companies. This position took her to locations all over the world, as well as numerous locations in the United States and for many years she lived out of her suitcase. Even with much traveling for her work, she still found time to be a mother to Kerry and to travel with her family on numerous cruises all over the world. Her favorite destination was Alaska, having been there 5 times. And she still found time to go on golf adventures with Jim. She taught Sunday school and children’s church for 10 years at First Methodist and was active in both the Magnolia Banquet and Lord’s Acre programs. Recently she was involved in the chair aerobics class to build her strength up for a heart procedure. She enjoyed playing games on her tablet, sewing, visiting with friends and family and loving on her 2 dogs, Peanut and Maci. She is survived by her husband, Jim; daughter, Kerry Sandberg (Eric); grandchildren, Wyatt and Sloane, who she loved immensely; also survived by three sisters, Karen Rice (Steve), Susan Garner (Gary), Beverly Swan (Tracy); brother, Larry Rush (Lisa), along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
