Margaret “Gussie” Mottram passed away on August 30, 2026, just one week shy of celebrating her 100th birthday. Born September 6, 1926, Margaret lived a long and beautiful life centered around her faith, her family, and serving others.

Margaret was a devoted Christian and was very involved in her church throughout her life. She was known for her generous and giving nature and for always being willing to help someone in need. She was deeply loved not only by her family, but also by those throughout her community whose lives she touched.

Her heart for serving others could be seen in the many years she spent volunteering with the Salvation Army and through Neighbors to Neighbors. Her kindness, faithfulness, and willingness to give of herself left a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to know her.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Hazel Thornton and Ernest Guthrie; her husband, Tom Mottram; and her siblings, Lois, Mabel, Lucille, and Pete.

She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Morris-Pitts and her husband, Carl, and Robin Brown, as well as her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and many other family members and loved ones who will carry her memory with them.

After nearly 100 years of life, Margaret leaves behind a remarkable legacy of faith, generosity, love, and service to others. She will be dearly missed, but her family finds comfort in knowing that she is now at peace and in the presence of the Lord.
