Margaret Regina Hughes Vickers passed away at home peacefully in the arms of her loving husband Ted Vickers on January 29, 2022. Jean spent a lifetime caring for others. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She spent evenings and mornings reading the Bible. She loved to talk about our Savior Jesus Christ. She was blessed with fruits of the spirit, spreading joy and happiness to everyone that crossed her path. Jean, as she was lovingly called by friends and family, was born the 7th of 15 children on January 20, 1938 in Philadelphia, PA to proud parents Thomas Francis Hughes and Margaret Regina Kemble Hughes. She took on many responsibilities at a young age, helping raise some of her younger siblings as well as her own 8 children. She became a great cook and always had food ready for any hungry friend or relative that happened to join the table for a meal. After years of cooking for the family she opened a successful restaurant. She is survived by husband Ted Vickers; (children) daughter, Diane (Steve) Hancock, son Kenny (Rosie) Vickers, daughter, Cathy (Rick) Carroll, daughter Debbie Wood, and son Stephen (Shawnerie) Vickers; (siblings) brother, Johnny (Sandra) Hughes, brother Tim (Jan) Hughes, sister Dodie (Donnie) Barbie, sister in laws Sharon Hughes and Nancy Hughes; along with16 Grandchildren and 27 Great Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by mother, Margaret Regina Kemble Hughes and father, Thomas Francis Hughes; (children) son, Timothy Edward, daughter Lesa Renea, son Teddy Ray Jr; (siblings) sister Theresa Hughes, sister Catherine (Sid) Foster, brother Tom (Nancy) Hughes, brother Patrick (Anna) Hughes, brother Joe (Barbara) Hughes, sister Mary (Bill) Sorrels, sister Fran (George) Sproul, brother Chuck (Sharon) Hughes, brother Mike (Barbara) Hughes, brother Jimmy (Ruth) Hughes, brother Eddie (Terry) Hughes. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children's Hospital.
