Mable Ruth Bray

Mable Ruth Bray, 80, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2026.

Visitation will be held on September 8 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at White’s Funeral Home. 

The funeral service will be held on September 9 at 2:00 p.m. at White’s Funeral Home, followed by burial at Spring Creek Cemetery, 100 Spring Creek Road, Weatherford, Texas 76087.

Mable Ruth Bray was born on April 15, 1946, in Quinlan, Texas. She graduated from Technical High School in Fort Worth, Texas. She later continued her education at Weatherford Junior College, where she received her Associate in Applied Science at the age of 42.

Mable loved her family most of all. She also enjoyed fishing, cooking, baking, canning, sewing, crocheting, gardening, and, of course, shopping.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan Vargas; son, Rodney Bray; brother, David Elliot; sister, Marilyn and Greg Williford; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mable Lavella; father, William Alexander Elliott; brothers, Eugene, Billy, Charles, Tommy, and Sammy; and her beloved husband, Donald.
