Lorrie Rene Blount Tillman was born in Dallas, Texas on October 23, 1959 and passed on her 67th birthday, October 23, 2026, at 5:46 p.m.
Memorial Service: 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 7, 2026 at Grace Covenant Church in Weatherford, Texas.
Lorrie was born to Jimmy and Phyllis (Pippi) Blount and lived the first 16 years of her life in Irving, Texas.
Always an artist and so beautiful herself, Lorrie could draw, paint, sew and arrange flowers with an uncanny artistic flare. She was an exceptional cook, chicken keeper, team penner and team sorter on a particularly favored black horse, Wimpy. Her many talents extended to being a wonderful Mother to Hatten and Dana, always involved in theirs and their children's lives, whether it be football games, drill team, beauty pageants, egg dyeing or any assortment of activities they might be attending.
Lorrie kept us all in line and we could count on her to be there to cook and take care of everyone on holidays, with an authority and hilarious wit that kept everyone laughing while doing her bidding, which always resulted in a smoothly run show.
Some of her favorite jobs were teaching children in Homegrown Co-op School to sew and cook and of course making floral arrangements.
Lorrie was preceded in death by her father, Jimmy Blount, her father and mother-in-law, Teddy and Kay Tillman and Aunt Harma Jordan.
She is survived by her husband, Lynn of 49 years, just shy by three weeks, Lynn Tillman; her son, Hatten David Tillman and wife Kelley Tillman; grandchildren, Tred Tillman, Tucker Tillman, Conner Hood, Phoenix Kirk, husband Colby Mead and baby Hattie Lynn, Johnny Kirk, George Kirk, Jedidiah Kirk, Henry Kirkand Clovis Kirk, and her daughter Dana Michelle Tillman Finley, husband Adam Finley, grandchildren Ethan Finley, wife Macy Finley and baby Waylon, Noah Finley. Her Mother Phyllis Blount, brother, Jimmy Blount Jr. and nephews Jimmy Blount III and David Blount. Sisters-in-law Tammie Harding husband Steve Harding, and Jatona Sucamele husband Joey Sucamele, and Phyllis Tillman, nieces and nephews, Heather and Phillip Beyer, Laine and Josh Cauthon, Zack and Kate Jameson, Rhea and Jacob Smith, Ryan and Alisha Richardson, Josh and Hayley Richardson, Laren Harding, Alexa Huston, great nieces and nephews, Annarene and Trenton Turell with baby Leddy Kaye, Cash and Taylor Cauthon, Cailyn and Quinn Richardson, Blaze Harding-Sikes, Brynn Hart, Zayden Harding, Emberleigh and Novah Huston. and Uncle Ken Jordan.
Lorrie loves Jesus and her church and was a faithful believer. This gave her the courage and strength to move on knowing she would gain Heaven and someday see her familyagain. She would be the first to tell each one to trust in God.
