Lois was born on November 12, 1931, to Ernest and Hazel Dorothy Guthrie in Napavine, WA.
Lois met Lyle, the love of her life, and married in Elwell, MI. They started their family of four children and later moved to Texas, where they settled in Parker County.
Lois loved the Lord, reading the Word, especially the Book of Revelation, and painting.
“Although quiet, to herself, yet “sassy,” she left her family and others a legacy of faith and sacrificial love. She loved loving family and others even when it wasn’t deserved. “
She would give the shirt off her back to anyone who needed it. Lois and her husband together were a model of God’s unconditional love.
Lois is preceded in death by her husband, Lyle Eldridge, her brother, William “Pete”, and her sisters Mable and Lucille.
Lois is survived by her oldest sister Margaret; her children, Margaret Carlile, Marshall Eldridge, Marsha Creech, and Martin Eldridge; her grandchildren, Jeff Carlile, Eddie Knight, Gary Carlile, Melissa Eldridge Taylor, Mark Mutadi, Christina Nunn, Kimberly Reyes, and Matthew Lemon; 14 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
