Lloyd Edsel McPeak, Jr

Lloyd “Mac” McPeak, beloved husband, father, grandfather, veteran, and friend, passed away on July 27, 2026, at the age of 74. Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we celebrate a life filled with love, laughter, service, and unwavering devotion to family.

Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, August 1, 2026 at White’s Funeral Home, 130 Houston Ave, Weatherford.

Mac was born on June 8, 1952, in Cirencester, England, to Doris McPeak and Lloyd McPeak, Sr. As a young man, his family eventually settled in California, where he attended high school in Marysville. His adventurous spirit and dedication to serving his country led him into a distinguished military career that would shape much of his life.

Mac proudly served in the United States Army from 1971 to 1973 before continuing his service with the United States Navy Seabees from 1973 until his honorable retirement in 1991. Over the course of 20 years of faithful military service, he traveled the world, built lifelong friendships, and carried with him the pride and values of the Seabees for the rest of his life.

After retiring from the military, Mac made Livermore, California, his home for more than 30 years before relocation to Weatherford, Texas in 2024. No matter where life took him, he left a lasting impression on everyone he met through his kindness, humor, and generous heart.

Above all else, Mac’s greatest joy was his family. He shared more than 50 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Gennie, who stood faithfully by his side through every chapter of life. She was his greatest supporter, his rock, and his devoted caregiver, offering him endless love, strength, and compassion.

He was a proud father to three sons, Christopher, Shawn, and James (Elizabeth), and an even prouder grandfather to Madison, Kash, and Lyla. His family was the center of his world, and the memories they created together will be cherished forever.

Anyone who knew Mac knew his passion for music. He loved listening to it, recording it, collecting it, and most of all sharing it with others. Music brought him happiness. He delighted in introducing friends and family to songs, and artist he loved. He also enjoyed collecting knives and treasured anything connected to the Navy Seabees, a reflection of the pride he carried in his years of military service.

Mac will be remembered for his quiet strength, his loyalty, his sense of humor, and the love he gave so freely to those around him. His life was one of honor, dedication, kindness, and his legacy will continue through his family and all whose lives he touched.

Though he is no longer with us, his spirit lives on in every favorite song that plays, every story shared around the table, and every memory held close. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
