Funeral Service: 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 28, 2021 in White’s Chapel of Memories. Interment: Annetta Cemetery Lloyd was born January 20, 1941 in Graham, Texas, son of Lloyd Monroe Kennedy, Sr. and Jeannie Edna Alice Norris Kennedy. Lloyd bravely and proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He enlisted in 1958 and would go on to retire as a Chief Petty Officer, after serving over 23 years. Following his military service, Lloyd worked for Lockheed Martin for over 17 years, and as a Network Technician at AT&T for over 10 years. Lloyd is preceded in death by his parents; stepson; Patrick Lee Banfield; and a grandson, Harley David Hamilton. He is survived by his wife, Mary Nel Kennedy; children, James Lloyd Kennedy, Tricia Nell Kennedy, Darrin Eugene Kennedy, and Karen Jean Woods; stepchildren, Richard Allen Banfield, Sondra Sue Gaynor, and Stephen Scott Banfield; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; brothers, Billy and Kenneth; four sisters, Frances, Janie, Sharon, and Paula; and a multitude of extended family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made, in Lloyd’s honor, to the Autism Society, or the American Cancer Society.
