Lisa Aline Mayers, aged 61, peacefully passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2023, in Weatherford, Texas. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during a viewing at White's Funeral Home, 130 Houston Avenue, Weatherford, Texas, on Monday, November 13, 2023, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held the following day, Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at 10 a.m. at White's Chapel of Memories. Lisa Aline Mayers will be laid to rest at Eternal Oaks Cemetery in Runaway Bay, Texas. She was born on January 5, 1962, in Fort Worth, Texas, to the late Irving Paul Peck and Mary Zada Eshelman. Lisa was a devoted daughter, a loving sister, a cherished wife, and a nurturing mother. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Lisa dedicated over 25 years of her life to the noble profession of nursing, having attended nursing school in Duncan, Oklahoma, where she became a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN). Throughout her career, she brought comfort and care to numerous patients in hospitals and nursing facilities in the DFW and Weatherford area. Family meant the world to Lisa, and she found immense joy in her roles as a wife and mother. She shared 45 beautiful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Harvey Darrell Mayers, Jr. Their bond was a testament to love's endurance and commitment. Lisa's gentle spirit was complemented by her affinity for simple pleasures. She found solace in canning fresh produce, baking delicious treats, and the artistry of crocheting. She also had a fondness for literature, particularly horror and thriller books, which transported her to thrilling worlds of imagination. Lisa was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Ann Mayers of Weatherford; her father, Irving Paul Peck of Nevada; her mother, Mary Zada Eshelman of Fort Worth; and her brothers, Dale Edward Bell of Weatherford, Charles Lawrence Bell of Lubbock, and Lowell Wayne Bell of Lubbock. Lisa leaves behind her daughter, Brandi Mayers, and daughter-in-law, Heather Wilkins. She also cherished her relationship with her brother, Shawn Ferguson, her brother-in-law, Paul Bell, and Aunt Laura Merritt, as well as her nieces and nephews from Weatherford, Austin, and Fort Worth. May the memory of Lisa's kindness, dedication, and love bring comfort to those who mourn her loss. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion and warmth that will forever be treasured.
