Lisa Denise deLeleu

Lisa Denise deLeleu, 61, passed away Monday, April 25, 2022 at Keeneland Nursing and Rehabilitation in Weatherford. Graveside Service: 2 p.m. Monday, May 2, 2022 at East Greenwood Cemetery, Weatherford. Lisa was born November 16, 1960 at Campbell Memorial Hospital in Weatherford, Texas. Her parents, Polly McDavid deLeleu and Billy Ray deLeleu, and brother, Desi deLeleu welcomed her to their family and their hometown. In 1966, the family moved to Houston where Lisa started school at Spring Independent School District. When the family returned to North Texas, Lisa attended Leonard Middle School and graduated from Western Hills High School in Fort Worth where she enjoyed many campus activities with special friends. She attended Weatherford College, eventually graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Art from Texas Wesleyan University. She held numerous jobs throughout her life in Fort Worth and Weatherford. Due to failing health, Lisa required full-time care and moved to Keeneland Nursing and Rehabilitation in late 2018. She was preceded in death by her father Billy Ray deLeleu; brother, Desi deLeleu; and step-father, James E. Ryan. Lisa is survived by her mother, Polly McDavid deLeleu Ryan; aunt, Mable Davee; step-sister, Kelly Ryan; numerous cousins throughout Texas and the United States; close friends, Laura Lusty-Willis, and Sarita Bridges; and loving service dog and companion, Lulu. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association or to Keeneland Nursing and Rehabilitation.
