Linda Ann Barron

Linda Ann Rierson Barron, 85, of Hudson Oaks, Texas, passed peacefully on Wednesday, August 7, 2024.

Linda was a 1956 graduate of Warwick High School in Newport News, Virginia. She and her husband, James, spent their lives together serving churches in Kentucky, Mississippi, and Texas. They served as Baptist missionaries for 26 years in Ghana and the Azores Islands off the coast of Portugal.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Mozelle Rierson; brothers, John and James Rierson; daughter, Carole Sue Barron; and beloved husband of 65 years, James Barron.

Linda is survived by her children, Angela (Bruce) Hennington, Stephen (Bernie) Barron; her grandchildren, Daniela (Ankush Saha) Barron, and Lennart Barron; her brother-in-Law, Frank Barron; and her nieces and nephews in Mississippi, Indiana, and Florida.

A celebration of Linda’s life is scheduled for Saturday, August 24, 2024 at the Church at The Crossing, 128 Elm St., Aledo, Texas, 76008. Visitation will be at 1 p.m., followed by a service at 2 p.m.
