Letha M. Russell passed away Saturday, October 14, 2023, at the age of 88.
Visitation: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. with the Rosary at 7 p.m. on Friday, October 20, 2023 at White’s Funeral Home Chapel, 101 N. E. 4th Ave., Mineral Wells.
Mass of Christian Burial: 10 a.m. Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Chapel, 108 N. W. 4th Ave., Mineral Wells.
Letha was born and raised in St. Ignace, Michigan, and worked at the hospital there as a nurse. After moving to Mineral Wells, Texas, Letha worked at Edo Aire Mitchell and later at Lockheed Martin until her retirement. She was very involved with church activities at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, serving as lector and Eucharistic Minister. She was a member of the Alter Society and the Catholic Daughters.
Letha was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Thelma O’Brien; and by her husband of 63 years, Wayne Russell.
Letha is survived by her children, Raymond Russell and wife, Carolyn, Jenny Peterson and husband, Rick, Matthew Russell and wife, Laurie, and Robin Russell and wife, Michellea; 16 grandchildren, Brandon Russell and wife, Stacey, Michael Russell, Katherine Russell, Chris Peterson and wife, Amanda, Ben Peterson and wife, Missy, Nick Peterson and wife, Sandra, Andrew Peterson and wife, Brenna, Nicole Peterson, Christopher Russell and wife, Carrie, Amy Russell, Jeffrey Russell and wife, Kassandra, Kelly Roell and husband, Michael, Genevieve Russell, Houston Russell, Duncan Russell, and Milla Russell; 21 great-grandchildren, Brendan, Ava, and Liam Russell, Jacob and Megan Peterson, Corrie and Jesse Peterson, Tito, Michael, Abigail, and Nathan Peterson, Jason and Rylee Nelon, Rebecca, Elizabeth, and Jacob Russell, Kaley and Kolton Russell, Evelyn, Henry, and Jonathan Roell. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Dixie Kibler and husband, John, and Heidi Milbauer and husband, Wayne; brother-in-law, Jack Russell and wife, Rose Ann; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Willow Park Rehabilitation and Care Center, and Solaris Hospice, for their excellent care.
