Leela Dorothy Phillips Cage

Leela Dorothy Cage, 90, a loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at home in Fort Worth.

Graveside Service: 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at East Greenwood Cemetery in Weatherford. 

Leela Dorothy Phillips Cage was born July 13, 1931 in Weatherford, Texas. She was the daughter of Walter Lawrence and Mary Alosia Hebert Phillips. Leela Dorothy was a 1950 graduate of Amon Carter-Riverside. She was a member of Arlington Heights United Methodist Church, Fort Worth. 

Leela Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Cage, Jr.; son, Lawrence Malcolm Cage; daughter, Mary Leela Cage Wallace; her brothers, Alvin Phillips and Marvin Phillips; and her sister, Lorene Ritter. 

Survivors: Her sister, Evelyn Parker and son, Marvin Cage of Fort Worth; daughter, Debbie Anderson and son-in-law, Jack Anderson, of Mesquite; son, Philip Cage and daughter-in-law, Kathleen Cage, of Haslet; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
