Lawrence Anthony "Larry" Lamantia, Jr., age 88, passed away Saturday, October 14, 2023 in Azle, Tx. Visitation: 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at First Baptist Church in Springtown, Tx. Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at First Baptist Church in Springtown, Tx. Interment: Wednesday, October 18, 2023 in Memory Gardens of the Valley, Weatherford, Tx. At the request of the family, any flowers may be delivered directly to the church prior to the visitation. Larry was born July 8, 1935 in Dayton, OH; son of Lawrence Anthony Lamantia, Sr. and Donna (Fourman) Lamantia. Larry bravely and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, rising to the rank of Staff Sergeant. He and his wife, Betty, were very active members of First Baptist Church of Springtown; where Larry served as a deacon for many years. He is preceded in death by his parents; and first wife, Beverly Lamantia. Survivors include his loving wife of 23 years, Betty Lamantia; children, John Lamantia (Jerri), Tracy Anderson (Brian) and Ronnie Lamantia; stepchildren, Gary Dunn (Sharon), Cathy Fitzgerald (Steve), Kevin Dunn, Leslie Swindle (Dwayne), Betsy Rich (Todd) Juli Snodgrass (Lynn), and Ami Strowd (Kevin); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family members and friends.
