Laura Jane Orh-Watson

November 23, 1963 — January 12, 2021

Laura Jane Ohr-Watson Laura got her wings Tuesday night, January 12, 2021, after a year-long battle with cancer. She was best known for her quick wit and lovable personality. She will be missed by all that knew her. Laura worked at Colonial Country Club for years running the 19th Hole Lounge. She moved to Weatherford in 2017 to enjoy the relaxed lifestyle a small town affords. Laura took to her new surroundings, enjoying gardening and feeding the birds, as well as keeping the books for the small company that she and her husband “Doc” ran distributing parts nationwide. Her cooking skills were known by the fortunate people that got to enjoy her delicious Hungarian cuisine, as well as the best ham on the planet. Laura was a true Texas girl, growing up in Fort Worth and graduating from Southwest High School. She loved to travel the world, taking multiple cruises from Europe, Mexico, Caribbean, Central America and Alaska, enjoying family and friends that got to travel with her. There was never a dull moment to be around Laura. She was always comfortable anywhere with anybody. She is survived by her husband, Robert “Doc” Watson; mother, Viola Ohr; brother, Robert Ohr; sister, Maria Cardin; as well as multiple aunts and cousins. May she rest in peace and she will be remembered dearly by all that were lucky enough to enjoy her friendship.
