Fort Worth- Larry Case, 64, passed away July 12, 2017. Funeral- A Celebration of Life service will be held Monday, July 17, at 10:00 AM at Willow Park Baptist Church in Aledo with Reverend Clark Bosher officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Larry was born August 21, 1952 in Hobbs, NM, and grew up in Cedar Lake and Loop, TX. Larry entered into the Army in 1971, where he began his career as a tanker, then realized his lifelong passion of flying when he entered flight school to ultimately become a AH-1F Cobra instructor pilot. He later transitioned into fixed-wing aircraft before he retired in 1994. As a civilian, he flew offshore before becoming a medivac pilot in and around the Temple area. Larry eventually accepted a position as a maintenance test pilot on the V-22 Osprey program in Amarillo, before ultimately transitioning to an instructor pilot at the Bell Helicopter Academy in Hurst, TX. Larry was an ardent outdoorsman, golfer and grandfather. He touched many lives with his caring nature and humor, and was known for his commitment to excellence in aviation. Larry was preceded in death by his father Jasper Elmer Case. Survivors: Mother, Jean Case; wife, Rebecca Case; sisters, Glenda Case and Sandra Myers; sons, Jonathan, Stephen, Michael, and Matthew Case; daughter, Amy Barrett; grandchildren, Mychal, Jonathan, Jacob, Sabrina, Joby, Emily, Jasper, Alex, Rosie, Keaton, and Damien.
