Kathryne Rainey

Kathryne Rainey, passed peacefully in her sleep at the age of 73, on Monday, January 23, 2023. Memorial will be held at 11:00 am on January 28, 2023 at Christway Baptist Church, 7673 W Highway 199 Springtown, TX 76082 Ph # (817)-721-3858. Kathy was born on October 19, 1949, to the Late Monroe and Mildred Rainey. She graduated from Poly Technical High School and started a career at The Fort Worth Stockyard Exchange. She was there for over 20 years and when the doors closed, she moved to the Stockyards Hotel for a few years. During this time Kathy joined the North Fort Worth Historical Society where she became Secretary/Treasurer for many years. She spent many hours volunteering in the Stockyard Historical Museum and other areas. After this, she only had 2 other employers before she retired 2014. She was preceded in death by siblings, Mike and wife Trudy, Pat, and Greg. Kathy is survived by her Sister, Mary Batchelor; Brother, Richard and wife Susan; and Sister in Law, Ileta; Nephews, Scott Batchelor, Andy Rainey and wife Angel, and Josh Rainey; Nieces, Amy and husband Scott Robinson, Wendy and husband Franzel Westhoff, Sara and husband Chuck Bratcher, Angie and husband Lee Graham, Toni Rainey, Christy and husband Jeremy Hanks, Elizabeth and husband Josiah Horton; and 19 Great Nephews and Nieces. She was loved and will be missed as a Sister and Aunt and Great Aunt.
