Judy Thouvenel, 81, of Aledo, Texas, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 20, 2026.
Judy was born on April 14, 1945, and lived a life full of love, strength, and devotion to her family and enjoying life's simple treasures. She spent over 20 years working as a secretary for Bell Helicopter, where she took pride in her work and the friendships she built along the way. But more than any title or job, Judy was the heart of her family.
She had a deep love for riding horses, something that brought her joy and a sense of freedom. Whether she was outdoors or surrounded by family, Judy found happiness in life’s simple, meaningful moments.
To know Judy was to feel loved. She had a gentle, caring spirit and a quiet strength that carried her through life. She was the kind of woman who put others first, who showed up when it mattered, and who made her family feel safe, supported, and deeply cared for. Her love will continue to live on through the lives she touched.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Kelly Preston, and Keitha Carter; son in law, Brad Carter; her cherished grandchildren, Michelle Frame, Sarah Rompe, Riley Carter, and Dallie Overton; and several great-grandchildren who were such a special part of her life.
She is reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, Alton; her son, Kevin; her brothers, Bill and Dale; and her parents, William and Marjorie.
A viewing will be held Wednesday, April 22, 2026 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at White’s Funeral Home, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford.
A service to celebrate Judy’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at Parker County Cowboy Church, 5050 FM 5, Aledo.
Interment will follow the service at Annetta Cemetery, 2667 W. FM 5, Annetta.
Though she may be gone from our sight, Judy’s love, lessons, and memory will stay with her family forever.
