Judith Henderson

September 10, 1948 — January 14, 2021

Judith Henderson, 72, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2021 in Weatherford. Funeral Service: 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Friendship Baptist Church in Weatherford. Interment: Goshen Cemetery. Visitation: 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at White's Funeral Home, 401 N. Main St., Springtown. Judith Ann Harry was born September 10, 1948 to Oren Harry and Gladys Speed in Staten Island, New York. Because Oren Harry was enlisted in the U.S. Army the family moved around and Judy and younger brother, Richard spent 5 years in Morocco and 5 years in Paris, where she attended Paris American High School. Back in the States Judy trained to be a nurse at Deborah Hospital. After graduation as a registered nurse she joined the Air Force and was assigned to Carswell AFB Hospital. While eating lunch in the Officers Club she met and later married Capt. Andrew (Andy) Henderson, USAFR. While in the Air Force Judy earned her Flight Nurse rating. She resigned from the Air Force to devote time to her growing family but continued to pursue a multi-faceted nursing career. She worked ICU, Pediatrics, and other assignments. Because Andy was a teacher she decided to go into school nursing and stayed in that field until she retired. Judy and Andy had three children; Christy, Chad, and Debbie. Judy was not the stay-at-home type. She loved to be outdoors. Through cruising, road trips, and working on the family farm she led an active, rich life. Judy was a cherished wife, a loving, devoted and compassionate mother and absolutely loved being a grandmother. She loved the Lord and lived her faith. One of her favorite Bible verses was Ephesians 4:29. “Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers.” NKJV Judy is preceded in death by Oren Harry, Gladys Speed Harry; and brother, Richard. She is survived by husband, Andy; children, Christy, Chad, Debbie; seven (7) grandchildren; and niece, Michele Rondomanski. Judy is remembered as kind, loving, generous, and patient. Andy remembers her as having the gentlest spirit he has ever known.
