Darlene married the love of her life, Donnie Cooper, on December 7, 1991. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with laughter, love, and cherished memories.

Darlene dedicated many years of her life to working at Harris Hospital Pharmacy as a secretary. She then served as an executive secretary at the Church of God State Office for 32 years, working alongside her dear friends June and Robert Gable. Her work was a testament to her commitment and dedication, reflecting the kindness she showed in all areas of her life.

Darlene was a talented pianist who loved to sing, read, and attend church. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her every step. She had a special love for children, and her family, especially the little ones, held a special place in her heart. Her warmth and generosity extended to many special family friends over the years, creating bonds that will never be forgotten.

Those who knew Darlene knew she was "Nice" in every sense of the word – a term that could only truly be understood by experiencing the joy and kindness she brought to the world. Her gentle spirit, love for family, and dedication to her faith have left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Darlene was preceded in death by her beloved parents, L. P. and Velma Foster.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Donnie Cooper; her dear brother, Charles Foster and his wife, Janet; her cherished sister, Ilene Crawford and her son, Chris Crawford. She also leaves behind her beloved aunt, Doris Jean Foster; and many nieces and nephews, including Durea and Terry Mize and family, Danell and Mike Singletary and family, Darla Kurilec and family, Brad and Michael Foster and family; and 11 great and 13 great-great nieces and nephews. Darlene will be greatly missed, but her legacy of love, kindness, and faith will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

She is now playing piano and singing to the Lord.
