Click on: Live Stream to view service. Jonah Charles Maston left his earthly body on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 in Fort Benning, Georgia. Jonah’s celebration of life will be Wednesday, September 16th, 2020 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Mineral Wells followed by graveside services at Willow Pond Cemetery in Mineral Wells. Pastor Jerrel Tomlin will officiate the service. Viewing will be Tuesday evening, September 15th, 2020 from 6 - 8 p.m. at White’s Funeral Home in Mineral Wells. Pallbearers will be Riggin Barton, Patrick Conrique, Dylan Myers, Matthew Reddell, John Robert Tunnell and Giovanni Yanez. Jonah was born May 10, 2001 in Mineral Wells, Texas. Jonah attended school in Mineral Wells and Santo. He graduated from Mineral Wells High School in May 2019. Jonah had a passion for football and put his heart into the weight room and on the field. He played football at McMurry University during his brief time there. Jonah had been a correctional officer at Lindsey State Jail in Jacksboro before joining the United States Army on August 3, 2020. He had decided he was ready to see the world and serve his country. Jonah was a Christian and had given his heart to Jesus at a young age. He was a member of the Mineral Wells Church of God. For we know, we will see him again in heaven when our time on earth is complete as it is with Jonah. Survivors left behind to cherish his memory are his mother, Deanna Glover (Calvin) of Ruidoso, NM; his father, Jared Maston (Jamie) of Mineral Wells; and his brother, Noah Maston of Abilene. He is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Wendell and Suzie Wampler of Mineral Wells, paternal grandmother, Deborah Maston of Mineral Wells, paternal grandfather, Terry Maston (Tammie) of Mineral Wells, and his paternal great-grandmother, Wynelle Maston of Eastland. He also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and an abundance of friends.
