John Imperiale

John Imperiale, Sr., 89, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 in Springtown, Texas.

Graveside Service: 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 16, 2026 at Springtown Cemetery in Springtown, Texas.

He was born December 9, 1936 in Partinico, Italy (Sicily) to Leonardo and Antonina Imperiale.

He came to the United States in 1952 on a ship, traveling for 14 days to Ellis Island. He lived in Lyndhurst, New Jersey and started his own tile company called Imperiale Tile Co. He then moved to Old Bridge, New Jersey. He married Martha in 1956 and they both eventually came to Springtown, Texas in the early 1980's and resided here for 45 years, while he continued his tile journey. His wife, Martha Imperiale, was secretary for the business and homemaker. She was born October 7, 1937 in Newark, New Jersey. They both raised four children together. John and Martha loved Springtown and the community they lived in. They both were very involved in the town and helped many, many people in Springtown and the surrounding areas in their homes with his tile work. His brothers, his three boys and 2 grandsons all worked in the tile industry. John and his brother Dominick taught many men in the family about their work. You could tell it was something they cherished as a skill and loved.

Martha passed away on Thanksgiving day of 2009 at the age of 72, in Springtown. She was cremated and will be laid to rest with the love of her life, John.

John is also preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Dominick Imperiale, Andrea Imperiale and Peter Imperiale and sister, Connie Carbone.

He is survived by his children, John Imperiale, Jr. and wife Wyne Guevarra Imperiale of Fort Worth; Lenny Imperiale of Springtown, Marlene Imperiale-Fendley of Springtown, and Thomas Imperiale and wife Cindy, New Jersey; Grandchildren, Anthony Fendley and Jennifer Watson-Fendley of Springtown; Nathan Fendley, Idaho; Maranda Fendley, Springtown; Jessica Imperiale-Garcia, New Jersey; Thomas Imperiale, Jr., New Jersey; Great-grandchildren, Mariah Imperiale, Rigyn Kavanaugh, Avery Fendley, Randall Hudgins, Neveah Vasquez, Springtown; Siblings, Elaine Palawasta, North Carolina; Lee Hegarty, New Jersey; Anna Marie Ciafardini, North Carolina; Grace Ciafardini, North Carolina; Fran Everidge, North Carolina.
