John Robert Cummings

John Robert Cummings, 73, of Weatherford, passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2023 in hospice care. Graveside Inurnment: 1:15 p.m. Monday, July 3, 2023 at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy., Dallas. John was born January 14, 1950 in Cleveland, Ohio, son of John Willard Cummings and Clara Jean (Heston) Cummings. He spent his life serving in the United States Army until retirement, and then continued working as a civilian on base for the Navy. After retirement, he enjoyed going to yard sales and estate sales with his wife, Laura. John is preceded in death by his parents, Clara Jean and John Willard Cummings. He is survived by his wife, Laura Mae Cummings; son, Newton Cummings and wife, Samantha, of Weatherford; daughter, Virginia, of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania; six grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; and will also be missed by his loving pets, three dogs and one cat.
