Joe Bunyon Snodgrass, 90, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at his home in Weatherford.

Graveside Service: 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at Memory Gardens of the Valley, 5600 Mineral Wells Hwy., Weatherford.

Joe was the son of Hiram Holder Snodgrass and Vera B. (Hudson) Snodgrass, and was born March 12, 1935 in Borger. He attended grade school at Stinnett and Plemons Grade Schools and high school at Phillips High School. Joe was a member of the United States Army. He was recalled to active duty during the Berlin Crisis. He attended Officer Candidate School and received his commission June 30, 1961. Joe graduated from West Texas State University in May of 1968. In 1972, he received his Master’s Degree from Arizona State University. He also completed post Master’s work at Arizona State University. Joe worked for the Scottsdale School District from 1968 until his retirement in 1993, both as a teacher, and as a counselor.

Joe was respected by his friends and colleagues. He devoted a large part of his adult life in the service of others. He was never too engaged to help a family member or others in need. He was known for being open, straight forward, and honest in his business dealings.

He is survived by his wife, Linda L. Snodgrass; his daughter, Rebecca Jean Blackman, and her son, Jordan Lee Blackman, of Breckenridge, Texas; and step-daughters, Kelly Guinn Brown of Flagstaff, Arizona, and Kerry Gayle Crosby, and her husband, Remington Crosby, of Montrose, Colorado.
