Joe Michael Landers, 70, beloved husband, father, brother and friend, passed away Friday, February 4, 2022 in Weatherford. Graveside Service: 2 p.m. Friday, February 11, 2022 at Memory Gardens of the Valley, 5600 Mineral Wells Hwy., Weatherford. Memorials: In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Joe’s memory to the Parker County Animal Shelter in Weatherford. Joe was born September 7, 1951 in Alamogordo, New Mexico, son of Edward and Hazel Black Landers. He was a hard worker and enjoyed being involved in the Rodeo industry. Joe was a jockey and rode in many horse races. He spent 35 years in horse breeding. Survivors: Wife, Laura Landers; son, T. J. Landers; daughter, Jolynn Elsworth and husband, Brian, of Chandler, Arizona; step-son, Keegan Dement and wife, Meredith; siblings, Janice Meyers and husband, Erik, of Phoenix, Arizona, Eddie Landers and wife, Peggy, of Alamogordo, New Mexico, and Jenny Landers of Stephenville; multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends.
