Joe "Jody" Jones

Joe (Jody) Jones passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 18, 2025 in Abilene, TX.

A Celebration of Life will be held at White's Funeral Home in Weatherford, TX at 2pm on Friday, June 6th.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or the ASPCA.

Jody lived and loved life to the fullest. He never met a stranger and those who knew him loved him. His larger than life personality will truly be missed. Jody enjoyed sharing his passion hor hunting, fishing, and golf with his sons: Joshua & Zachary, as well as many of his dear friends.

Jody was preceded in death by his mother, Vera Lucille Jones and father, Leland Jones; stepmother, Doris Jones; sister, Brenda Mann; stepbrothers, Ronnie, Jake, and Denny Bush; and stepsister, Jimmie Bush Hill.

He is survived by his wife Linda Jones; sister Debbie Scheller and husband Scott; stepsisters, Jackie Collins, and Doris Jean Bush; sons, Joshua Jones and wife Brandy, and Zachary Jones; grandson, Tyler Jones; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
