Joanna Nelson Daugherty

Joanna N. Daugherty began her next journey with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through the warm sunlit fields of Heaven in the midmorning hours of November 3rd, 2022. Her final days before her peaceful departure were spent speaking to a loving family that filled her heart with such joy. Visitation: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday, November 11, 2022 in White’s Mineral Wells Chapel, 101 N. E. 4th Ave., Mineral Wells. Graveside Service: 2 p.m. Friday, November 11, 2022 at Woodland Park Cemetery, Mineral Wells. Although born in Sundown, Texas on June 16th, 1941, she was an over half century resident of Mineral Wells. Her love and faith in Jesus led her to follow in His footsteps as a healer. Through His strength, Joanna graduated nursing school as an LVN on September 9th, 1964. Modeling the Lord, she lovingly and faithfully gave care to those in need for over 45 years. She leaves behind a garden of wonderful loving family to blossom in the light of the Lord. Daughter, Judy M. Kirkland and husband, Tim; son, Ronald M. Daugherty; grandchildren, Cheyenne Daugherty, Samantha Daugherty and fianceè, Reymundo Garcia, Cole Wayne Daugherty, Monica Fox and partner, Leroy Stapleton, Brian Kirkland and wife, Rikki, Bradley Kirkland and wife, Katie, Rebbecca Crous and husband, Nicolaas, and Levi Kirkland; 16 beautiful great-grandchildren; three brothers; and a sister. Through faith, she grew strong. For family, she stood tall. For love, she gave all, and for that, she will be dearly missed.
