JoAnn Fowler

JoAnn Harrell Fowler joined her Creator on Sunday, July 12, 2026. She is rejoicing with her Lord and Savior and has been reunited in heaven with her husband, Herbert Fowler, after 54 years of marriage.

JoAnn was born in Weatherford, Texas, on June 25, 1936, to Roy C. and Edna L. (Kelley) Harrell. After high school, she began her career at First National Bank as a bank teller and then on to Vice President before retiring after 41 years. On January 15, 1971, she married the love of her life, Herb. Together, they built a beautiful life centered on faith and family.

JoAnn was a faithful member of First Baptist Church. She was a devoted Christian whose life was a testament to her unwavering faith and love for Jesus Christ. JoAnn dedicated her life to her family and was well known for her elegance and generosity. No one ever left her home without a special treat, especially one of her famous pound cakes. Giving to others brought her the most joy in life.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Fowler; her parents, Roy C. Harrell and Edna Lilly (Kelley) Harrell; and her brothers and sisters, Don Clayton Harrell, Ewell Jay Harrell, Loyd Emel Harrell, Lola Earline Harrell, Roy Cadimus "R.C." Harrell, Nona Faye Harrell, Marvin Glen "Chubby" Harrell, Oleta Ruth Harrell, and Margaret Jane Harrell.

JoAnn is survived by her numerous nieces and nephews, as well as many extended family members and dear friends. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed, leaving behind a legacy of love that will live on through the many lives she touched.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at White's Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford, Texas 76086. Interment will follow the service at East Greenwood Cemetery, 500 East Front Street., Weatherford, Texas 76086.
