Joan Marie Williams, 87, entered into the loving arms of her Savior on Sunday, January 18, 2026.
She was born on August 10, 1938, and lived a life marked by faith, service, and deep devotion to her family. Joan was married to her beloved husband, Mallie Carl Williams for 61 years, with whom she shared a life rooted in love and Christian values.
Joan was a devoted grandmother whose greatest pride and joy was her family. She was blessed with six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, with one more precious great-grandchild expected this spring. She considered her role as “Grandma” a sacred calling and made it her mission to bring her grandchildren to church and share with them the story of Jesus.
She was the true definition of a servant’s heart and a devoted Christian woman. Some of her most cherished years were spent serving as a Sunday School teacher in the Children’s Department at First Baptist Church of Weatherford, as well as faithfully serving in the church library. Joan found her greatest fulfillment in serving others and living out her faith daily.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mallie Carl Williams; her son, Anthony ‘Tony’ Williams; her son-in-law, Roland Smith, Sr.; her parents, Buck and Graffie Jordan; and her brothers, Richard, Winston, and Henry Jordan.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Jeffrey Williams and wife, Wendi; her daughter, Kathy Smith; grandchildren, Courtney Wagoner and husband, Terry, Jordan Lamb and husband, Justin, Clayton Smith and wife, Sara, Sarah Williams & husband, Seth Kang, Adam Smith and wife, Ericka, and Nathan Smith and wife, Lauren; great-grandchildren Kenzley, Dakota, Emmie, Audrey, Sutton, Stella, Hudson, and Olivia, with baby Harper expected in May.
Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, January 29, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Whites Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford, with the funeral service following at 2:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held at Memory Gardens of the Valley, 5600 Mineral Wells Hwy., Weatherford, immediately following the funeral.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Interim Hospice for the wonderful care they provided, especially Tiffany, Virginia, and Vicky.
Joan’s legacy of faith, love, and service will continue to live on through the many lives she touched and the family she cherished so deeply.
