Joan Christell Graham McBride passed away peacefully Sunday, September 13, 2026in Fredericksburg TX

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, September 24 at Lighthouse Country Cowboy Church, located at 6409 FM 730 S, Azle, TX

Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until Service time at the Church

Interment will follow at Ash Creek Cemetery.

Born on August 19, 1936, in Clifton, TX to Fred L Graham and Hester Dyer. Joan lived a life defined by love, kindness, faith, and devotion to family. Her gentle spirit and caring heart touched all who had the privilege of knowing her. Throughout her life, she exemplified grace, strength, and compassion, leaving a lasting impression on friends, neighbors, and loved ones. Joan loved to travel where she got inspiration for her paintings and researched genealogy. She was an excellent artist, and her paintings are cherished by her family She found joy in life's simple blessings: spending time with family, offering encouragement, caring for her grandchildren, and creating a welcoming home filled with love.

Though Joan's passing leaves a profound emptiness in the hearts of those who loved her, her legacy lives on through memories she created and the values she instilled in others. She is now blessed to be in heaven with our Lord and her husband of 72 years, she is preceded in death by her husband, Homer McBride and her eldest son, Jerry McBride.

Survivors include sons, Jimmy McBride and Dan McBride; granddaughters, Kimberly Eastburn, Jamie Weinberg, Shammra McBride-Waller, Beth Castro, Megan Oldfield, Julie Garrett; nineteen great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren.
