Joan Anne Malone

Joan Anne “Sue” Lindsey Malone, 79, passed away Monday, May 29, 2023 in Venus. Graveside Service: 10 a.m. Friday, June 2, 2023 at Tin Top Cemetery, Parker County. Joan was born October 18, 1943 in Dallas, daughter of Paul and Ola Mae (Burkett) Lindsey. She met the love of her life Namon L. Malone and they were married on April 2, 1959. They would go on to spend 43 happy years together until Namon’s passing in 2002. Joan was an avid artist and won several awards for her paintings and sculptures over the years. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Namon L. Malone; two brothers, Bobby and Sonny; and one sister, Posse. Survivors include her son, Namon Malone; daughter, Notra Malone; grandchildren, Tiffany Gowins, Leslie “Scott” Wood, and Emily Malone; sister, Sharon Negrete; brothers, Ronald Hudson and Donald Hudson; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family members and friends.
