Jimmy Allen Turner age 85, passed away Monday, December 9th, 2019. A memorial service will be held Friday, December 13th at 2:00 p.m. at Ash Creek Baptist Church in Azle. Memorial Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Jimmy's name to the Ash Creek Building Fund, Castle Hills Mission House or charity of your choice. Jimmy was a graduate of Rising Star High School in 1951. He graduated from Hardin-Simmons University and had a master’s degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth. Jimmy married the love of his life, Sammie Harris May 30, 1953. He was a member of Ash Creek Baptist Church in Azle, Texas. Jimmy retired after 50 years of pastoring and served churches in Mary Neal, Anson, Carbon, Loraine, Tahoka , Ash Creek Baptist Church and Castle Hills Baptist Church in Azle, and Haskell. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Velma Turner; sisters, Leola Kelly and Chrystel Gross; brother, Donald Turner; and grandson, Jayson Cloe. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Sammie Lee Turner of Azle; sons, David Turner and wife, Kathi of Andrews, Stacy Turner and wife, Kim of Del Rio; daughter, Patti Cloe and husband, Roger of Belton; 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
