Jimmy Don Smith

Jimmy Don Smith passed away Monday, December 21, 2020. Graveside Service: 10:00 A.m. Saturday, December 26, 2020 at Annis Chapel Cemetery, Springtown. Jimmy Don Smith was born in Lubbock, Texas on June 13, 1956. He married the love of his life Ping Smith in 2008 and they lived together in Lubbock, Texas. Together they raised 1 child Liuye . Jimmy graduated from Lubbock Christian High School and received a degree in Biblical Studies from the Lubbock Christian University in 1979. He was a bass singer in Sunny Days, a cappella group in LCU. Jimmy worked at night shift Manager in Embassy Suites by Hilton and was passionate about affecting the most positive change in people. Matthew 25:21 Well done, thou good and faithful servant. Jimmy went home with God on December 21, 2020. Jimmy is survived by his wife, Ping Smith; his daughter, Liuye Chen and her fiancé, Dylan Ray; brother and sister in law, Mike and Margie Smith; niece, Amanda Pratt and her husband; nephews, Jason Smith and Jeremy Smith and his wife. Life is a Journey we all must take. it is based on the decision and choices we make. We influence others by everything we do. Good or bad. Be loving, be kind, give respect, and above all, live you life that gives God all the glory.
