The long goodbye has become the final farewell. Jim Friddle was greeted at the heavenly gates on Sunday, October 30, 2022. Funeral Service: 10 a.m. Friday, November 4, 2022 in White’s Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Interment: East Greenwood Cemetery, Weatherford. Visitation: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, November 3, 2022 at White’s Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Joel Taylor, Jason Friddle, Chase Hargrave, Bryce Hargrave, Aden Hargrave, and Ryan Tate. Jim was born to Earl Frank Friddle and Birdie Wilkinson Friddle on January 19, 1943 in a log cabin west of Weatherford, Texas. He had five brothers, Pete, Earl, Ted, John, and Joe Friddle, and four sisters, Leta Friddle Dewveall, Naomi Friddle Stewart, Wanda Friddle Sherman, and Wynona Friddle. Jim was married to Leigh Forester for 27 years. They had two wonderful children. Jim owned and operated his own business, pattern and injection molding for 30 years in Fort Worth. He sold the business when he was 49 years old and retired. He married Lorena Stone Friddle in 1992. They spent the next 20 years traveling extensively in their RV and abroad. Jim and Lorena were married for 30 years. Jim was a master woodcarver and loved to carve. He was a talented artisan, from painting to wood carving to building model airplanes, canoes and boats, and many other things. Jim loved to work with his hands. He could play most stringed instruments and loved to play the harmonica. Jim was a simple man and a Christian man. His wife Lorena adored him and will miss him until she can see him again. Jim is survived by his wife, Lorena Stone Friddle; children, Greg Friddle (Lana) from Benbrook, Texas, and Angela Friddle Hubbell (Chad) from Hemet, California; stepsons, Jeffrey Tate (Paula) from Mineral Wells, and Richard Tate (Sandie) from Weatherford; grandchildren, Hannah and Haley Friddle, Jordan, Madison, and Kamryn Hubbell, Ryan Tate, Emily Tate Bryce, and Chase and Aden Hargrave; one great-grandson, Rowan Hargrave; two brothers, Ted and Joe Friddle; and many nieces and nephews.
