Jerry Mack Holder

Jerry Mack Holder, 84, passed away Saturday, February 19, 2022 at his home in Weatherford. Funeral Service: 2 p.m. Saturday, February 26, 2022, Harmony Baptist Church, 242 Harmony Rd Weatherford 76087. Interment: Tin Top Cemetery, Weatherford. Visitation: 6 – 8 p.m. Friday at White’s Funeral Home, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford 76086. Jerry was born June 25, 1937 in Megargal, son of L. J. and Loie (Cooper) Holder. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Jerry was a great man with many friends. He had a quick wit and always had a joke to share. Jerry loved raising cattle, fishing, and loved spending time with others and faithfully could be found at Mary’s Brazos Café drinking coffee and sharing stories. While he had many interests, his first love was his family. Jerry met and married the love of his life, Sally Inez Morgan, he would propose to her on Valentine's Day, and they were married in May 16, 1958. They would go on to spend many happy years together before her passing in 2003. Jerry had a successful career in masonry and concrete. Following that, he would go on to retire from Parker County Precinct 3. He was an active member of Harmony Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. After the passing of his beautiful wife, he would go on to attend church over 650 Sundays in a row. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Inez Holder; and 8 brothers and sisters. Survivors include son, Johnny Holder (Liz); daughter, Jane Dugan (Rick); grandson, Jesse Morgan Holder, all of Weatherford; and many other extended family members and friends.
