Jean Risinger Everroad, age 95, and long-time resident of Weatherford, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2023 at a local care facility. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Graveside Inurnment: 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 7, 2023 at East Greenwood Cemetery, Weatherford. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made in memory of Jean Everroad to: First Baptist Church of Weatherford “General Budget Fund” at www.fbcwtx.org or mail to First Baptist Church of Weatherford, 306 Palo Pinto Street, Weatherford, Texas 76086. Jean was born July 4, 1927 in Winfield, Texas, daughter of Earl and Emma Payne. She married Sam Risinger on February 25, 1946 and they were happily married for many years. After Sam’s death, Jean married Paul Everroad, December 21, 1970 and they were happily married for many years. Jean was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Weatherford for 60 years. She was a long-time antique dealer in Weatherford. Jean loved games with her friends. She was a competitive card player and just loved to win. Jean was a master in the kitchen, lovingly preparing tasty meals for all to enjoy – especially her family and friends. EVERYONE loved her coconut pie! Gran’s greatest joys - - - Her Family!!! She lived the life she wanted to live focusing on her faith, family, friends, and the Community of Weatherford. She is survived by her sons, Randy Risinger and wife, Sammye, and family, of Carrollton, Stephen Risinger of Fort Worth, and David Risinger and Tanna, of Weatherford; daughters, Donna O’Neal and husband, Carl, and family, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Dian Roper and husband, Bill, and family, of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Robin Risinger Sefzik and husband, Peter, and family, of Dallas, Christi Jones and husband, Perry, and family, of Fort Worth, Tim Roper and Lonnie, and family, of Fort Worth, Tiffany Cantrell and husband, Kyle, and family, Mike Garretson and wife, Susan, and family, Brad Garretson, Terri O’Neal, Amy Austin and husband, Drew, and family; numerous great-grandchildren, (Gran always enjoyed being with and caring for all of her babies); nieces and nephews, Jerry Thomas and wife, Brenda, and family, of Mt. Pleasant, Jim Thomas and wife, Janice, and family, of Houston, Jenni Thomas of Mt. Pleasant, Sherri Risinger White and family, of Richardson, Vicki Risinger West and family, of Burnet, and Jeanette Pinson and husband, Cecil, and family, of Whitehouse. The family wants to acknowledge Jean’s precious, lifelong friends, and we would like to thank the many extended family members, church members, and loving new friends, and caretakers who assisted her including, Jeannie May, Karen and John Cerda, and Weatherford Health and Hospice Care, for their comfort and support during Jean’s long illness. Our Gran will be greatly missed! We love you Gran!
