Charles Jason Reddin

May 31, 1979 — Oct 26, 2026

Mineral Wells, Texas

Charles Jason Reddin, known to most as Jason, was born on May 31, 1979, and passed away on October 26, 2026. He was a son, brother, father, and friend who has said a temporary farewell to a family and community of people who loved him deeply, and whose lives he touched more than he could have ever realized.

Jason attended Weatherford College and graduated from the University of North Texas, where he earned his Bachelor’s of science degree in biology. He was a graduate of Millsap High School and chose to return and serve the community he loved as an educator for 21 years. His reach was and is far spreading, with students and staff who have been genuinely impacted by his teaching, mentorship, and friendship. He had a gift for students with special needs and made such a difference in the lives of his students and their families for over two decades.

Jason had a love for fishing, music, all things in the realm of nerdom, and most importantly, spending time with the people closest to him. He especially enjoyed playing music and working on music alongside his dad and close friends. Whether he was out fishing, making music, being a Guardian for humanity in Destiny, or simply spending time with family, Jason found his greatest happiness in the company of those he loved.

Above all else, Jason loved his family, especially his three boys: Tyler, Kyle, and William. His brother Montana describes the boys as "who Jason was," a sentiment that speaks to just how much being their father meant to him. There was no greater purpose for him than loving his sons, raising them, cherishing them, and doing so loudly and with all of himself. His love for his sons was at the center of his life and will remain an important part of the legacy he leaves behind.

Jason was also part of a close-knit group of family and friends known as the Caddo Creek Family. Many memories were made together fishing at Possum Kingdom Lake, but the lake was only part of what made those times special. The true testament to life and treasure was in the time he spent together with his family and friends, the laughter, the jokes, the quiet adventure, and the bond he built with that beautiful place with those beautiful people over the years.

Jason is survived by his three sons, Tyler Gore, Kyle Gore, and William Reddin; his father, Charlie Reddin, and Charlie's longtime partner, Nikki Rhea; his brother and dear friend, Montana Ellis; and his brother, Shane Ellis. He is also survived by his extended Caddo Creek Family, including Tim "TJ" Reddin, Tima Carnagey, and her husband, Charles Carnagey, along with Charlie, Nikki, Tyler, Kyle, and William, who are also part of that special family. He leaves behind many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Jason was preceded in death by his brother, Tommy Ellis (1983-2025); his loving mother, Rebecca (Free) Littlepage (1960–2022); his grandmother, Pauline Free (1937–2021); and his uncle, Charles "Randy" Free (1957–2019).

Jason will be remembered through the music he made, the memories shared around the water, on a headset, and in a classroom, the family he loved, and the friendships he built. His absence will be felt by many, but the love he gave and the memories he leaves behind will continue to live on in the people who knew him best. Jason, you will be missed. You will be remembered. Your kindness and work will continue on in those who have been so blessed to have known and loved you.
