Janice Sue Curry

Janice Sue Curry went to be with our gracious Lord, Saturday, May 16, 2026, in Springtown, surrounded by her family.

The family will welcome friends from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. on Friday, May 22, 2026, at White’s Funeral Home in Springtown, followed by a Graveside Service at 2:30 p.m. at Goshen Cemetery.

Sue was born October 24, 1944 in Fort Worth, Texas to Jack Munden and Martha Inez (Cockerham) Munden. She spent her younger years in Bosque County on the Hamilton Ranch.

She was united in marriage to Jack Curry December 28, 1964. Sue worked in the banking industry and as an accountant for flight services. After her retirement, she enjoyed working in her yard and going to rodeos and sporting events for the grandkids.

Sue enjoyed riding horses, barrel racing on horses was her passion. She was the president of Twin States Barrel Racing Association and a member of the American Association of Sheriffs’ Posses and Riding Clubs for many years.

She was a beloved wife, mother, “Meme” and friend to many. She will be missed dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Mary Lou Lane; her brothers, Jack Munden, Jr. and Danny Munden.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 61 years, Jack Curry; her daughter, Tami Pitts and husband Glen of Springtown; her daughter Jackie Parish and husband Todd of Poolville; her grandchildren, Ricky Smith, Paige Autenrieb, Jesse Clifton, Cole Clifton, Tripp Parish; her brother, Lanny Munden and his wife Sherry of Springtown; several great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces and a large host of friends.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Smith, Jesse Clifton, Cole Clifton, Tripp Parish, Dan Munden, Ty Munden, Tate Miles, Tanner Miles, Colt Munden.
