Janet Kaye James

Janet Kaye James died on Friday, June 11, 2021 in Fort Worth. She was 68 years old. Graveside Service: 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at East Greenwood Cemetery, Weatherford. She was born Janet Kaye Hamzy to Juanita and the late Pete Hamzy in Little Rock, Arkansas. Janet and her twin brother, Brad, were the youngest of five siblings, Pam Lyerly (James), Shannon Hamzy (Janice), and Sharon Saari (Steve). Janet got her fiery spirit from her father and her kind and generous nature from her mother. A wonderful combination. She was a proud member of Alcoholics Anonymous and sober for over 40 years. Janet was a sponsor and a friend to many. She worked in loan production and banking until she retired. Her sons, Robert Sharpe (Lisa), and Jacob Cheney meant the world to her. She had three grandchildren, Trey, Elizabeth, and Cooper. Janet loved her family first and foremost, friends, her dog, Marley, and the Arkansas Razorbacks. “Wooo Pig Sooie”!!!
